Technical Purchasing Specialist

 We are looking for a talented  Purchasing Specialist  to take part in Alapala Foreign Trade Company in Yeşilköy, İstanbul.

What Do We Expect From You ?

• Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline or other engineering fields,
• Min. 5 years of technical purchasing experience is a must,
• Experienced in foreing trade operations will be an asset,
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, 
• Good command of ERP systems (preferably IFS), 
• Procurement activities experience in direct and indirect procurement and advanced level of contract management is an asset 
• Strong communication, persuasion and analytic skills, 
• Highly motivated and energetic, 
• No military obligation for male candidates.

What Will We Do Together ?

• Preparing the contracts and documents necessary to ensure that confidentiality and compliance obligations are fulfilled by all parties
• Managing tenders and bidding activities, evaluation of the proposals in accordance with the defined processes
• Conducting negotiations with the suppliers on cost, quality, payment and delivery terms optimization
• Developing good communication and relationship within the team, organization and with the suppliers
• Monitoring, managing and reporting all operational issues Communicating and solving problems with the suppliers
• Works collaboratively with Planning, Production, Logistics, Quality and Accounting departments internally and manages all procurement processes.
• Makes / manages price negotiations and price agreements with the local and the overseas suppliers.
• Researches alternative suppliers, materials and manages all cost reduction activities.
• Recommend solutions without compromising quality while optimizing cost.
• Maintain appropriate documentation for audit and control procedures, in addition to timely and accurately, updating purchasing records and data.
• Researching market trends to determine the best time to purchase certain items.
• Responsible for communicating date/quantity changes to the related teams
• Resolve supplier stock and invoice discrepancies and provide written or oral communications with foreign contacts,
• Applies and implements P&L standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.
• Initiate purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitor, and track supplier performance to purchase order requirements.
• Managing complex, statistical, and quantitative analyses, coming up with conclusions and recommendation. Regularly reporting on purchasing KPIs;
• Ensuring compliance with the company’s local and global policies and standards, following up on the regulations.
