Chartering Operations Responsible

Responsibilities

- Negotiate charter party terms with charterers/operators/brokers,

- Provide advice on commercial matters affecting operations and demurrage risk exposure,

- Explore and maintain long-term business relationships with owners and charterers,

- Provide accurate and timely shipping information to trading teams to facilitate smooth trading activities,

- Monitor the market, follow-up cargoes and retrieve business opportunities,

- Maintains records (SAP records) and statistics  related to commercial activities,

- Analyse and understand pros / cons of different employment opportunities (spot, period, etc.),

- Liaise with operations and technical teams to ensure that any unexpected event or technical issue is properly managed to avoid commercial disruption,

- Ensure proper reporting of the commercial activity to the management and other corporate functions,

- Perform voyage calculations and compare possibilities in accordance with market trends and corporate guidelines,

- Ensure the KYC for any business partner in line with law and group policies,

- Prepare fixture notes and other commercial reports to the benefit of the management.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Shipping, Shipping management, brokering, marine transportation or closely related fields

- 0-3 years experince in commercial areas of the maritime business

- Shipowner/operator setup or trading houses experience will be a plus,

- Familiar with CP terms,

- Strong knowledge of the freight management system

- Understanding of Domestic and International maritime notions/rules and regulations,
