What You Will Need to Be Successful

• A degree in electrical, electronics, mechatronics, control, automotive and mechanical engineering from a reputable university, Master's or PhD degree is an asset
• 5+ years of experience on electrified powertrain control systems
• Practical experience on development of hybrid and electric vehicles
• Multi-discipline (mechanical, electrical, electronics, software) technical knowledge of electrified powertrain components, systems, and architectures
• Experience with relevant automotive product development processes
• Proficiency in project management tools/software (MS Project, Visio, etc.)
• Detail-oriented combined with strong analytical skills
• Strong organizational, planning and reporting skills
• System thinking capability preferred
• Able to provide technical guidance to team members on what, why, and how
• Good English skills (spoken and written)
• A highly motivated self-starter and team-player with very good communication skills
• Willingness to travel abroad
• German is a plus

What Will You Work On

As a Technical Specialist/Project Manager in the eDrive & Power Electronics Department of FEV Turkey, you will be part of a highly skilled team driven to design and engineer best-in-class electrified powertrains and electric vehicle control systems. You will take role in the projects for the specification, development, testing and validation of electric vehicle control systems. You will work in a collaborative team environment. You will be contributing to the development of advanced concepts as well as their implementation for application to electrified vehicles. You will work on;

• Develop and deliver best-in-class electric vehicle control systems
• Build and maintain technical competency in the engineering team, determining open skills/engineering capacity gaps and finding solutions
• Identification and management of functional requirements at system and/or component level
• Specification, function development, modeling, simulation, vehicle integration and testing of electric vehicle control systems
• Organizing internal & external kick-off meetings and ensuring the participation of the necessary stakeholders
• Defining the task distribution and responsibilities
• Managing project scope and budget according to the contract
• Managing and coordinating the change requests
• Tracking project milestones and deliverables and communicating with stakeholders on an ongoing basis
• Support the organization to the latest technology developments and trends in industry, also monitoring market and competitors’ product
• Support roadmaps for future projects and products to continuously advance FEV electrified powertrain performance
• Technical guidance and leadership in the electrification projects
• Develop design verification test plans, safety and standards compliance test plans
• Commissioning, function integration, startup, calibration and testing at vehicle and powertrain test benches.
