QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Main Job Purpose:
Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the books of accounts and that they are maintained as per the IFRS standards for the business unit. Management, leadership, and development of the finance function.
Ownership of the annual audit process. Accountable for the quarterly forecasting, the annual budget, and the monthly management reporting. Participates in the creation and implementation of the functional strategy and takes a visible and active role in the senior finance team.
Core Department Functions:
Financial Accounting and Compliance
- Take accountability for the integrity and accuracy of the financial information provided by the function.
- Participate in forecasting and budgeting activities for the business and the accounting department.
- Provide support to the Finance Director in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing actual, forecasted, and budgeted financial results.
- Research and integration of existing and developing IFRS and Turkish GAAP statutory reporting to ensure company compliance with authoritative and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the banking and audit relationships.
- Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers, and statutory organizations.
- Manage budget processes and reviews.
- Prepare, review, and analyze actual, forecasted, and budgeted financial results utilized by both the BU and corporate management team in decision-making processes.
- Meet reporting deadlines as communicated by Corporate Finance.
Business Partnering
- This position continuously interacts with the business leader and functional heads and Finance Manager Network. The ability to lead, partner, and influence is critical to the success of this role.
- From time to time provide ad hoc insightful and value-adding analysis and support to the stakeholders note above on items ranging from the cash conversion cycle to return on assets and from liquidity to technical accounting.
- Provide financial analysis and support for BU management (aged inventory, pricing, product profitability, return on assets, cash flow, acquisition due diligence, etc.).
- Partner with the business and other stakeholders to understand the underlying business operations and processes to augment the integrity of financial controls and transactions.
- Assists in the identification of issues, trends, and opportunities impacting the business and strategies, which enhance profitability, reduce cost, and/or improve efficiency.
Team Leadership
- Responsible for the performance and development of staff to learn, grow, and be successful in their roles.
- Take a senior role in the leadership of the finance function; participate in the development and implementation of company and department objectives not just in Turkey but across the group, align, set and monitor career and incentive performance goals for the finance team.

Qualifications
- Bachelor in Accounting degree or related finance field with an MBA in Finance and/ or CPA preferred.
- 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
- Must have very strong analytical skills, meticulous, detail-oriented
- Spreadsheet proficient
- High level of computer literacy with specific requirements for Oracle 12, Dynamics 365, Excel, Hyperion, Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong communication skills in English language is required.
