Electrical & Electronics Component Engineer

As an Electrical & Electronics Component Engineer in the EE department, you will be part of an engineering team that designs, develops, enhances and validates electric vehicles and their control systems. You will take a role in EE Component selection, development, packaging, testing, calibration, and release.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

·         To Select and integrate vehicle electrical system components from various suppliers

·         To Follow up maturity of components starting from selection, sourcing, and technical development to PPAP and production.

·         To Develop component-level specifications.

·         To prepare component DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis), DVP (Design Validation Plan)

·         To Communicate with suppliers regarding the content, status of the design, design changes, and develop requirements.

·         To Manage cost studies with suppliers in case of design changes.

·         To Lead supplier for technical issues.

·         To Support component testing, vehicle testing, and homologation testing for the components you are responsible of.

·         To locate components in 3D Design Environment

·         To Represent Hexagon Studio at supplier meetings and design reviews (e.g., technical design review, system compatibility review, etc.)

·         To manage supplier in terms of technical discussions, lead time, cost etc.

·         To Work with and coordinate other engineers within the team to resolve issues and conflicts in a timely manner.

·         Fault identification and resolution,

·         To Prepare status reports for both internal and external distribution.

·         To support for 2D / 3D wiring harnesses geometry, change control, product definition, and change management processes in order to deliver innovative, robust, and efficient product actions.

·         To react to incoming engineering change requests, and implementing process changes where needed.

·         To manage deadline expectations of the projects, be able to report progress of development, and raise a flag if any roadblocks exist.

·         To ensure the delivery of technical documents required by the customers with the highest quality and in time.

Qualifications

·         BS or higher degree in Electrical and Electronics, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or relevant equivalent experience.

·         At least 2 years of industry experience within automotive or other industries.

·         Experience in Automotive Electrical and Electronics System.

·         Experience in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Electrical Architecture and EV components.

·         A team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a multi-discipline, multi-project environment.

·         A good knowledge of CATIA V5, Siemens NX and Teamcenter.

·         Knowledge of 12 Vdc, 24 Vdc & HV architecture/systems.

·         Strong leadership skills.

·         Experience in Automotive Electronics Integration is a plus.

·         Knowledge of testing and analysis tools is a plus. (Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, or similar)

·         Knowledge of communication buses such as CAN, LIN FlexRay, Ethernet, etc., and their databases are a plus.

·         Proactive and passionate about continuous improvement.

·         Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English.

·         Flexible for short trips abroad.
