We are looking for a Transport, Trade and Logistics Specialist with a proven track record in the field who will be part of the Planning and Order Fulfillment team of Hitachi Energy Power Transformers Plant in Kartal. Strengthening our team in Istanbul, you will provide support to the wider business by ensuring that import trade and logistics activities are align with corporate policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities

·       Focusing on managing the flow of goods between company, supplier, customer and other locations in the most reliable, cost efficient manner.

·       Planning and monitoring shipments.

·       Controlling and tracking transportation activities in relation with purchasing parties.

·       Providing effective coordination with customs agencies and 3rd party logistics companies.

·       Monitoring and updating the changes in customs legislation and applications.

·       Analyzing current transportation operations practices to determine process and cost improvement opportunities in relation with the parties of Hitachi Energy global organization.

·       Supporting purchasing activities.

·       Making goods receipt and other related transactions in SAP system.

·       Preparing related periodic internal /external reports and standard and ad hoc detailed analyses for logistics metrics.within SAP or with other tools and systems.

·       Ensuring all operations related with the position are inline & compliant with local legislations and integrity & HSE policies and guidelines of Hitachi Energy.

Your background

·       University degree in related fields.

·       Minimum 2 years of import & export logistics and customs regulations experience in similar industries.

·       Experience in ERP systems, preferably in SAP (SAP S/4HANA TM module knowledge is an asset). 

·       Very good command of both written and spoken English.

·       Very good knowledge of MS Office applications.

·       Analytical mind with strong planning and self-learning skills, teamwork oriented.

·       Knowledge in export/import regulations.

·       Completed military service for male applicants.
