Scope of Work

As Lifeguard, I will fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them and our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky and pioneering wellness.

Sustainability, Wellness and Out of the Ordinary experiences are at the core of everything we do at Six Senses. I will safeguard these pillars and ensure full knowledge and active participation of all our brand initiatives

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Maintain continuous surveillance of people in swimming pools and seas.
• Ensure appropriate headcount of people involved in a watersport on an hourly basis.
• Call out warnings to people who may have ventured too far or are in imminent danger.
• Provide safety information to people prior to them indulging in a water sport.
• Spot hazards or potential hazards and take measures to prevent accidents.
• Control and report unruly behavior and evict individuals not adhering to behavior protocols.
• Perform rescues in the event of drowning or swimming accidents.
• Perform first aid according to the demands of adverse situations.
• Maintain accurate records of pool use and chemical levels.
• Check safety of rescue tubes and buoys and perform needed maintenance.
• Ensure that all pool equipment is stored safely and that any lost items are kept in a safe place.
• Establish good guest relations and rapport with all spa hosts and guests at all times.
• Report any breakage or mal function of any items at the spa and follow up on the repair and maintenance.
• Report for duty punctually.
• Be well groomed and presentable at all times and according to the Six Senses Spas grooming guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position in a luxury lifestyle brand.
• Excellent written and verbal skills both in English and Turkish.
• Minimum silver lifeguard badge is a must.
• Must be able to perform a variety of duties and multi-task.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
• Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
• Guest service, guest retention and service recovery.
