Key accountabilities

 

• Assists the Finance Leadership in successfully opening the Peninsula Istanbul by implementing Finance related systems, establishing efficient processes and creating an effective Finance team.
• Assists the Finance Leadership in ensuring compliance with HSH Finance related policies and procedures.
• Processes all controls, input, and filing needed, related indistinctively to Income Audit, Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable tasks as per business needs.
• Ensures that all financial reports (daily, weekly and monthly) are reflecting a true image of the Property’s income and expenses, including contractual obligations, by identifying discrepancies, processing corrections, chasing for appropriate controls and identifying patterns for improvement of processes.
• To follow the local tax Legislation and notifies the Financial Leaders to implement the necessary changes.
• Ensures that to follow and prepares tax processes such as VAT, withholding tax, Diplomatic exception, Withholding Tax, Tourism Tax, SGK and ensures that the payment is made on time.

 


General requirements

 

• Minimum 5 years accounting experience in hospitality-residential environment and supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a complex tax and contractual environment. 
• Mastery of at least one accounting system.
• Balance Sheet reconciliation experience procedures.
• High level of integrity is required. Outgoing, flexible, detail oriented.

The Peninsula Istanbul will offer spectacular views of the Bosphorus Strait, the meeting point of East and West. Located in the historic Karaköy district, the hotel will feature 177 opulent guestrooms and a glamourous rooftop, forming part of the Salıpazarı Port re-development, which also features a cruise terminal, public squares, restaurants and museums. The hotel is currently scheduled to open at early 2023.
