QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Set along the dazzling Bosphorus waterfront in the historic district of Karaköy, The Peninsula Istanbul provides a showcase for both vibrant Turkish culture and superlative hospitality within Galataport, a new waterfront revitalisation project. The hotel is comprised of four exquisite buildings – three of them historic and beautifully restored – and welcomes guests arriving by land or sea.

Key accountabilities 
  • Uphold Data Integrity of the Databases used in Hotel Operations by holding each department accountable to the Policies and Procedures linked to the database projects including the structure, quality and quantity of data.
  • To ensure the operations follow the maintaining structure, policies and procedures regarding the retention and purging of data and follow the measurements from GCDMT to ensure clean data is captured and well maintained. 
  • Run regular reporting on GCDMT related activities (e.g. produce Audit Reports on profile data)
  • Enforce Quality & Data Input Standards by working with the GCDMT to enforce and maintain company database management guidelines and policies, ensuring these follow HSH standards and in compliance with local regulations.
  • Ensure to apply the training tools provided by GCDMT in relation to database management and upkeep, to share with the operation and on-boarding staff at regular intervals.
  • Responsible for maintenance of customer and client information, preferences, profiles, patterns, and history.
  • Responsibilities include implementing processes to ensure data quality issues are identified, prioritised, and remediated effectively and in a timely manner whilst troubleshooting and escalating to GCDMT, as needed.
  General requirements 
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in database management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Must possess excellent analytical and communication skills. 
  • A passion for accuracy, and refusal to accept incomplete customer information.
  • Excellent time management skills and highly adaptable with a focus on data and input. 
  • As an ambassador for The Peninsula Istanbul, ability to reinforce perceptions of quality and caring; ability to relate confidently and effectively with guests, other customers, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Advanced skillset on MS Excel or PowerBI for data analytics is preferred.
  • Fluent English and Turkish communication proficiency.
