We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person for the following role:

IP Network Operation Engineer

Main Purpose of Position:

This Role is responsible for the coordination, management and execution of proactive and reactive maintenance activities that require a higher level of support that the one offered by the 1st Level Operations. This shall ensure that the services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels.2nd Level Operations Engineer is typically assigned to work on tickets and fixing high level network and services faults.

Key Responsibilities of Position:

• Actively Monitoring of Trouble Ticket queues to maintain MTTR.
• Alarm analysis, Operation-maintenance, troubleshooting & Change Request Implementation on IP Core nodes (Routers, Switches).
• Analytical skills like logical thinking, Problem solving & handling assignments are mandatory.
• Trouble Ticket analysis and resolution of trouble tickets raised by Customer / L1 Teams. Fault management on all routers and switches equipment and follow up with support in case of advanced cases.
• Identify root cause of P2/P3/P4 Incidents and recommend appropriate resolution action and other events that Customer identify as requiring Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Close Collaboration with Field Team for all field activities (Hardware failures, Node unreachable etc.).
• Analyzes client solutions (LLDs) and performs the provisioning (configuration and activation) of business and wholesale IP services.
• End to End Network Understanding

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable university are preferred
• At least  3 years experience in Telco Service Provider company
• Good knowledge in IP Networking Protocols like BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, LDP, L2VPN, L3VPN, BFD.
• Good understanding in Switching VLAN, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRRP, HSRP.
• Product/Vendor knowledge on Cisco / Juniper /Huawei/ Arista/ Fortinet (At least any two).
• Good Communication & troubleshooting skills
• Good knowledge in DNS, e-mail server, TACACS, DHCP server, CACTI/MRTG
• Certifications: Cisco CCNA (mandatory) ; Cisco CCNP and Juniper ( it is an advantage)
